Group Volunteer Sponsorship Options

We invite you to come to Greenbrier County with your group! Without friends like you, we would not be able to reach our goal of creating safe, decent, and affordable housing for all in need. We hope you will return again next year to help us continue this ministry.

Although available to groups 15 years and older, only volunteers 18 years or older can participate “on the roof” or using power equipment.

Our “Hammer it Home House Sponsorship Build Week” is our “back end” sponsorship which typically takes place 5-7 build weeks after a “Wall Raising Sponsorship Build Week.” Your group would be bringing the house to completion working on the interior and exterior finishes. The family moves in shortly after the build week.

Ideal number of volunteers: 20-25

Volunteering in the Valley –  $200 per person

Over the course of a week, every group will work on one or more of four types of projects: New Home Construction, Critical Home Repairs, Affiliate Development Projects, and Community Projects. We concentrate in these areas because we realize it takes more than just houses to build a true community.  Keep in mind, there are no unimportant jobs! Whatever the project, it is important that it be done to keep our houses affordable to our families and to create a thriving community for them to live in.

Ideal number of volunteers: 10-40
